Pyurēti is a singer/songwriter whose emotional and thought-provoking music has been referred to as deep and inspiring. Since early childhood, Pyurēti has always had a passion for music. She had her first performance at the age of three where she captivated the audience at the NAACP and from there her love for music began. Over the years, Pyurēti was a part of many singing groups and has gone by other stage names (Black Butterfly, Marie Imaani) but the consistent response to the sound of her voice and her personality being "pure" was the driving force behind the name Pyurēti.
